Roberts, gloves and Tillman (updated)

Does Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts look more comfortable at the plate these days? Roberts is 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored tonight, and 4-for-6 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored in the last two games. Roberts is 6-for-14 in his last five games. He's collected hits in six of the last nine, raising his average to .266. Ryan Flaherty is going to have all sorts of trouble getting off the bench with Roberts in a groove and Henry Urrutia on the roster. Roberts doubled in the fourth inning tonight, took third on Nate McLouth's sacrifice bunt and scored on Manny Machado's single to increase the lead to 4-0. Machado was 0-for-2 and stranded four runners wearing his batting gloves. He took them off in the fourth. Glove Me Two Times. The Orioles are 5-for-10 with runners in scoring position. Chris Tillman is shutting out the Rangers on one hit over four innings, with one walk and four strikeouts. He's thrown 56 pitches, 36 for strikes. Before tonight, Tillman was 6-1 with a 3.40 ERA and four quality starts in eight road starts this season. Update: What's up with the Rangers' baserunning? And their fielding? Ian Kinsler singled to right field with two outs in the fifth to reduce the Orioles' lead to 4-1, but he got caught in a rundown after Chris Davis cut off Nick Markakis' throw. Mistake No. 1. David Murphy held up after rounding third base and got caught in a rundown. Mistake No. 2. Murphy was tagged out to end the inning, as the Rangers continue to stack up the blunders in this series.
