Adam Jones remains in the lineup in right field. Austin Wynns is catching and Jace Peterson is starting at third base.

Andrew Cashner faced the Athletics on May 4 and allowed three earned runs (four total) and six hits in 4 2/3 innings. He also walked three batters in a 6-4 loss.

Khris Davis and Matt Olson homered off Cashner in a four-run first inning.

Davis is 5-for-15 lifetime against Cashner. Matt Joyce is 3-for-9 with two home runs. Stephen Piscotty is 1-for-11.

Liam Hendriks is making his fourth start among 18 appearances with the Athletics. He's registered a 6.32 ERA and 1.787 WHIP in 15 2/3 innings this season.

Hendriks has logged only 3 2/3 innings in his three starts, making him baseball's latest "opener." He's registered a 2.61 ERA and 1.258 WHIP in nine home games, including all three starts, over 10 1/3 innings this season and a 13.50 ERA and 2.813 WHIP in eight road games over 5 1/3 innings.

Right-handers are hitting .357 against Hendriks this season and left-handers are batting .190. He's made 16 career appearances against the Orioles, including one start, and registered a 6.10 ERA and 1.500 WHIP over 20 2/3 innings.

Jones is 4-for-10 with two doubles against Hendriks. He's 6-for-13 this season against the Athletics.

The Orioles selected Hendriks off waivers from the Cubs in December 2013 and the Blue Jays claimed him two months later.

Jonathan Villar has tied his career-high hitting streak at nine games. He's 13-for-35 (.371).

Villar also had a nine-game hitting streak in September 2013.

Corban Joseph pinch-hit for older brother Caleb last night. According to Elias, the last time a player pinch-hit for his sibling was Sept. 16, 2009, with the Padres' Adrian and Edgar Gonzalez.

According to Baseball-Reference.com, Tuesday night's Joseph-for-Joseph swap marked the 72nd time in major league history that a brother pinch-hit for his brother.

Caleb Joseph is batting .272 (31-for-114) in 35 home games this season, compared to .161 (20-for-124) in 37 road games. He's on the bench tonight while rookie Wynns catches Cashner.
