So the Orioles lost big tonight versus New York by a score of 13-2. They fall to 0-6 on the year against the Yankees and have been outscored 51-18 in those games. The Orioles are 7-6 this year against Boston and Tampa, but winless versus New York. Tampa can beat New York and the Orioles can beat Tampa. Boston recently owns New York and the Orioles can beat Boston. But the Orioles, with this game, have now lost 30 of the last 37 in this series and are just 6-20 in their last 26 home games against the Yankees. Here are some other stats from the six games the teams have played this year: The Yankees are hitting .310 as a team in the six games with 51 runs on 18 doubles, three triples and 11 homers. New York has 32 extra-base hits in these games and added eight to that total tonight. The Orioles have just 15 extra-base hits. The O's team ERA is 7.01 on the season against New York. The Orioles won't see this team again now until late July after the All-Star break. Maybe between now and then they will figure out a way to do better than this versus the Yankees.
