You probably know that Nicole Sherry is only the second woman to hold the position of Head Groundskeeper for a Major League Baseball team.
But did you know that she's also listed in Baltimore Magazine's top singles in "Smalltimore"?
Pictured in a short black dress and matching high heels - a far cry from the khakis, orange polos, and sneakers we're used to seeing her sport at Camden Yards - Sherry made a list of 12 notable singles in Baltimore.
The magazine's feature points to "the...
Did you survive the snow?
I hope so - and if you didn't get any snow over the last few days, there are crowds of us who are jealous of you right now. How many days until the O's report to Sarasota? Then we can at least "think warm" and remember what sunlight looks like...
But in the meantime, buckets of snow can't stop your walks down memory lane as you look to identify the item in the photo below for another 'Where in the Yard?' here in the Orioles Buzz.
Good Luck and stay warm...
The Orioles have announced that they'll hold open tryouts on Saturday, February 20 for the position of public address announcer for the O's in Sarasota.

(Complimentary parking is available in the East Parking Lot at Ed Smith Stadium.)
Tryouts will begin...
Welcome to a big week in Birdland, as the O's officially report to spring training this week (as if I needed to tell you!). From here, the 2010 season will begin and continue to take shape, and we'll see what the Birds' flock of young O's are capable of soon enough.
But for now, welcome back to the Orioles Buzz, where we have another photo from Camden Yards ready for you to identify for this week's 'Where in the Yard?'
Just in case you're joining us for the first time, simply take a...

That Sunday's game will be the first of four opportunities Orioles fans will have to see the Birds play before they break the 2010 season wide open against the Rays on Opening...
If you're headed to Sarasota to see the O's in their new spring training home, Roch's already sending back good reviews.
The facilities are clearly an improvement from the past, and the general opinion is a high one of Sarasota.
And while the area has hardly been extensively scouted, here are a few recommendations from Roch and fellow O's fans who've been there:
Gus 12th Street Café: According to Roch's quick note at the bottom of his General info on Patton post,...
There's still some time before the promos and giveaways will start at Camden Yards, but the Orioles and OriolesREACH have planned several appearances and activities in Sarasota while the O's are south for spring training.
Orioles players and the Bird will make visits to charitable organizations in the Sarasota area, in addition to hosting a clinic and a game at Ed Smith Stadium throughout the weeks encompassing spring training.
To kick things off, an Orioles player and the Oriole Bird will...
Welcome back to another 'Where in the Yard?' O's fans. As baseball continues to come back into focus with 2010 spring training underway, we'll take a look at another image from the Yard here in the Orioles Buzz.
Only a few weeks now until the Birds are back in Baltimore, but for now, you know the drill: Tell me what this image is and where Dave's located in or around Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
Update: Glassman, Allan, Carlness, @rickybarbie, @bblande, and @FlavaDave21 already have...

All fans who register their birthday here will receive a voucher good for one free ticket to any non-prime game during their birthday month.

Many of you have already beamed about your plans to head south for Orioles spring training in Sarasota. You've got the front row seats - enjoy 'em!
But fans who can't make it to the Sunshine State won't be left out in the cold (except literally, that is), as there are now a handful of ways that you can catch sight of the O's before they fly north for the regular season.
Four Games on MASN:

Let's just start with the important stuff.
Go ahead and mark off June 19, July 31 and August 28th as can't-miss games for 2010. Those will be the three Bobblehead giveaways featuring Ryan Zimmerman, Nyjer Morgan and a "fan choice" respectively.
On Thursday, the Nationals announced an entire slate of promotional giveaways and special discounts for the 2010 season. In addition the popular bobblehead giveaways, the Nationals will also have six T-Shirt Tuesdays. Throughout the season,...
Happy Snowpocalypse!
As you dig your cars out, shovel your sidewalks and prepare for another big storm tomorrow, take a guess at this week's Where at Nats Park challenge.
Good luck, stay warm and remember -- pitchers and catchers report to Florida in just over a week.
Answer:

...a project for a snowy day.
On Tuesday, veteran baseball broadcaster Victor Rojas asked his Twitter followers and Facebook fans one simple question: what is baseball?
Dozens and dozens of fans responded and all of the submissions are available on his blog. Many of the answers are brilliant but all of the submissions attempt to capture that special essence of the game we all struggle to define.
I could hardly come up with an original response myself because no answer can quite compare to...
This Valentine's Day, Wil Nieves and his wife Yormarie have a lot to celebrate. The couple will welcome their first child in August of this year, a miracle they've been anxiously awaiting for some time.
They met back in November of 2002 on a blind date. In fact, they can tell you the exact date. Nieves had just finished his rookie season with the Padres.
"For me, it was love at first sight," Yormarie said. And Wil knew during those first few dates that she was "a keeper." ...
Happy President's Day. Speaking of President's, be sure to check out Nationals Pride and Nats320 for photos from this weekend's President's Race auditions.
Now, on to this week's Where at Nats Park challenge...
Can you identify what this is and where it was taken?
Put your guesses in the comments below and remember, I'll hide the correct answers until Wednesday so that everyone can have a shot at it. We'll try to count up your correct guesses for the contest so far later this...
Don't let the snow drifts fool you. It's time for spring training.
Pitchers and catchers report to Nationals camp in sunny Viera, FL on Friday which means that we have just two more days before a brand new season begins. It's the most exciting time of the year for fans, especially those of us buried under a blanket of snow. It's a sign that summer is quickly approaching along with another season of Nationals baseball.
Just in time for the start of spring training, MASN released its...
On Tuesday afternoon, the Potomac Nationals announced a special five-game ticket plan in preparation for a possible Stephen Strasburg debut at Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge this season.
The $15 Million Plan, named for Strasburg's contract, includes Opening Day on April 8th and four flexible games that can be used to watch possible Strasburg starts.
The plan does not guarantee that Strasburg will debut at Potomac, nor stay for five starts, but the P-Nats wanted to get started early. ...
