Another rain delay (O's trail 1-0 in 3rd)

You know how you try to watch a video and it keeps rebuffering? That's tonight's game. What kind of video? That's not important. Try to focus. We had a 15-minute rain delay at Camden Yards with one out in the top of the second inning, and the tarp's back on the field with one out in the bottom of the second. The grounds crew stayed behind the tarp after the first delay, knowing it would be called upon again. Chris Tillman threw six pitches in the first, allowing a leadoff single to Brock Holt before getting a fly ball and double play. The Red Sox loaded the bases in the second on two walks and a single, but Tillman struck out No. 9 hitter Jonathan Herrera. Tillman has previously allowed 14 runs in the first inning and 14 runs in the second inning this season. Tillman threw 24 pitches in the second while the rain continued to fall. It picked up in intensity to the point where time was called again after Chris Davis struck out. Nelson Cruz is coming up if play resumes. At Double-A Bowie, Nolan Reimold is 1-for-2 with a single in his first rehab game. I wrote earlier that manager Buck Showalter downplayed the possibility that third baseman Manny Machado will be optioned. Here's his quote: "I don't foresee that, but who knows what the future brings," Showalter said. "I don't think where he is right now and where we're trying to get, I don't think it behooves him to have his field manager talk about that." It's still pouring here. Update: Both starters returned to the mound after a 1 hour, 18 minute rain delay. Boston's Brandon Workman retired the two batters he faced in the bottom of the second. Tillman allowed a run in the top of the third on Mike Napoli's two-out single, and he threw 31 pitches. Tillman gave up two hits and walked a batter. Tillman had allowed only one run in the third inning this season.

Orioles have hit, but no lead (O's lose 1-0)
More on Gonzalez, and Showalter on Machado
